JHU-APL DIRECTIONS

Parking

Kossiakoff Center: From Johns Hopkins Road, turn right onto Pond Road. The Kossiakoff Center is located on your left; parking is to the lower right, off of Pond Road.

Driving Instructions

APL is located in Laurel, MD, situated between Baltimore and Washington, DC, and near I-95.

Our main campus is located at 11100 Johns Hopkins Road, Laurel, Maryland 20723.

• Most map apps include a searchable location for “Kossiakoff Center” or “Kossiakoff Center Parking.”

  Driving from Baltimore

• From I-95 South, take Exit 38B to merge onto MD-32 W toward Columbia
• Take Exit 16 B to merge onto US-29 S/Columbia Pike toward Washington
• Use the right lane of Exit 15 toward Johns Hopkins Road, then merge onto Johns Hopkins Road, using the second-to-right lane to continue straight.
• From Johns Hopkins Road, turn right onto Pond Road (the first right after the Montpelier Rd traffic light).
• The Kossiakoff Center is located on your left; parking is to the lower right, off of Pond Road.
• The Kossiakoff Center is searchable on most GPS apps (Waze, Google Maps, etc.)

Driving from D.C.

• Depending on what part of D.C. you’re in, there are two main routes to APL. I-95 to MD-216, or 29 North to Johns Hopkins Road.
• From US-29 N
  • Take exit 15 for Johns Hopkins Rd toward Gorman Rd
  • At the traffic circle, take the third exit onto Johns Hopkins Rd
  • From Johns Hopkins Road, turn right onto Pond Road (the first right after the Montpelier Rd traffic light).
  • The Kossiakoff Center is located on your left; parking is to the lower right, off Pond Rd.
  • The Kossiakoff Center is searchable on most GPS apps (Waze, Google Maps, etc.)
• From I-95
  • Take exit 35B from I-95 onto MD-216 W
  • In 1 mile, turn right onto Leishear Rd
  • In 0.8 miles, turn left onto Gorman Rd
  • At the traffic circle, take the 2nd exit to continue straight onto Johns Hopkins Rd
  • From Johns Hopkins Road, turn right onto Pond Road (the first right after the Montpelier Rd traffic light).
  • The Kossiakoff Center is located on your left; parking is to the lower right, off Pond Rd.
